Entre flores e interiores

Há tempos (re)descobri na página Female Artists in History (do Facebbok) esta pintura que achei muito bonita, da pintora inglesa Jessica Hayllar (1858-1940) (que por aqui já esteve):

Fui ver outras pinturas dela e (re)encontrei mais algumas de que gostei bastante, na mesma página:

Aprofundando o tema, (re)descobri no blogue Figuration Feminine que ela tinha mais três irmãs que se dedicaram à pintura: Edith Hayllar (1860-1948), Mary Hayllar (1863-1950), Kate Hayllar (1864-1959). Eram todas filhas de um pintor, James Hayllar (1829-1920), que teve também mais quatro filhos e uma filha (desconheço se também se dedicaram à arte). Por isso, aqui ficam mais umas obras desta família, que Myrtille Henrion Picco classifica como «la famille la plus artistique de l'époque victorienne».

Só um detalhe, que acho interessante. A gravura na pintura de Kate é uma reprodução da Madonna della saggiola (1513-1514) de Rafael; e na primeira pintura de Jessica julgo que está o Laughing Cavalier (1624) de Frans Hals.
